Job description

 

Egis Road Operations M40 Ltd are looking to speak to a Network Control Centre Operator to join the team based out of our Handy Cross depot.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Have an understanding of Motorway Incident Management and to take on that role representing the M40 working with National Highways Regional Operation Control Centres.
  • To adhere to policy, procedures and protocols for the M40 DBFO contract.
  • Support the 24/7 operation and to assist with cover for shifts, sick leave and holiday periods.
  • To work a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern to include Day and Night working.
  • Record data on all databases and spreadsheets to meet the contractual and audit requirements.
  • To Ensure the Daily, Weekly, Monthly report & KPI information is obtained, validated and is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Lead Controller where required in the training and development of new team members in the use of the IT systems.
  • Liaise with ISU operatives, Foreman, Works Managers, Senior Managers and National Highways Traffic Officers for M40 by phone and radio.
  • Deal with all matters relating to Health and Safety.
  • Engage in the Winter Maintenance Process and Procedure.
  • Respond to the Customer Contact Centre Enquiries including distribution to UKH & closeout with National Highways Contact Centre and updating of register to meet the KPI.
  • Record and supply data for the green claim & red claim process.
  • Manage Road space and ensure Network Event Management System is correctly

Profile

Requirements:

  • Having an understanding of Motorway Incident Management would be a huge bonus.
  • Full working knowledge of the Microsoft packages to include – Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Manage their time and be able to prioritise their workload without any outside assistance.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Working arrangements:

4 on 4 off 12 shift pattern: 2 day-shifts 7am to 7pm and 2 night-shifts 7pm to 7am, 4 days off.
